Multiple Camouflage Breaking by Co-Occurrence and Canny
نویسنده
چکیده
Camouflage is the art of disguising an object to blend an object in a very similar background, Recognizing and visualizing the location of camouflaged target could be to a certain extent not easy problem, since a sophisticated human vision system also fails to achieve superior efficiency in discrimination. The primary goal of the research work is to detect such multiple camouflaged target because of matching background and different color combinations for images. Camouflage is an attempt to obscure the signature of a target and sublimate the target in its background frame in terms of texture properties. Since the texture similarity between the background and the target is the premise for accomplishing camouflage, we believe that an intensive texture analysis should be able to discriminate target from its background. In this paper we have proposed to apply Co-occurrence matrix based texture analysis. Experimentation on the synthetic images substantiate the potential of the method. Extensive mathematical concepts of Matrix operations are to derive the texture parameters in order to investigate the targets. Eventually using Canny Operator to bring up the edges of objects, which are the camouflaged.

Camouflage Breaking: A Review of Contemporary Techniques
Camouflage is an attempt to make a target "invisible" by making the target appearance blend into the background. Camouflage related work is typically either in camouflage assessment and design or in camouflage breaking. This paper will discuss two current methods of camouflage breaking. Camouflage breaking is important because of the obvious military tactics, background subtraction, and general...
متن کاملConvexity-Based Camouflage Breaking
This paper presents biological evidence for camouflage breaking using the convexity of the intensity function. Some animals use apatetic coloring especially to prevent their detection by graylevel convexity. This implies that other animals might be able to break camouflage based on graylevel convexity. We demonstrate the effectiveness of convexity based camouflage breaking using an operator (“D...
متن کاملConvexity-Based Visual Camouflage Breaking
Camouflage is frequently used by animals and humans (usually for military purposes) in order to conceal objects from visual surveillance or inspection. Most camouflage methods are based on superpositioning multiple edges on the object that is supposed to be hidden, such that its familiar contours and texture are masked. In this work, we present an operator, (Darg), that is applied directly to t...
متن کاملA Model for Visual Camouflage Breaking
Some animals use counter-shading in order to prevent their detection by predators. Counter-shading means that the albedo of the animal is such that its image has a flat intensity function rather than a convex intensity function. This implies that there might exist predators who can detect 3D objects based on the convexity of the intensity function. In this paper, we suggest a mathematical model...
متن کاملTexture Enhancement for Medical Images Based on Fractional Differential Masks
Texture enhancement for medical images is the most important technique in medical image diagnosis. This paper introduces a texture enhancement technique for medical images by using fractional differential (FD) masks based on Srivastava-Owa fractional operators. We also construct a 2D isotropic gradient mask based on generalized fractional operators. Texture enhancement performance is measured b...
